The jury is still out on whether Porto is Portugal’s second city or its first. It’s certainly not the biggest, but it may very well be the most beautiful. There are a lot of great options for coffee and getting work done too! Down below we have a list of our favorite laptop-friendly cafes in Porto. It should go without saying they all have free WiFi too.
Bird of Passage Coffee
Bird of Passage has a really cool, modern, industrial design and is a chill place to grab a coffee and do some work on your laptop. It has great food, fresh and prepared there, as well as amazing coffee. The vibe is vibrant and the crowd is young. You will definitely encounter some other people working on their laptops when you go there. You can find them at R. do Duque de Loulé 185 and they work every day, except for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Combi Coffee
This is one of those places that are worth the visit just for the coffee. They have a bunch of different options when it comes to coffee, but also some nice sweets to go with that. The cafe itself is modern and airy and they have some power outlets for your laptop. The location is top-notch, a few minutes away from the inner-city, which makes it slightly less crowded with tourists. However, it does still get pretty crowded. The exact address is R. do Morgado de Mateus nº29 and they are every day from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Noshi Coffee
This is a bright fancy cafe, with an amazing inner courtyard. If there is any space available, definitely go inside and sit in the courtyard. The interior design is very cozy and welcoming. There is a lot of seating, as well as good WiFi. This cafe also has some pretty great brunch options, so you can definitely check that out. The location is also pretty good, so you could combine doing work here with a stroll around Porto. Their address is R. do Carmo 11 and they are open every day, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fabrica Coffee Roasters
This is a cool cafe, just a few blocks away from the Aliados metro station. It’s the kind of place where locals go to get a coffee, so you know it’s pretty good. The design is modern and clean and there is also an inner garden if you want to work outside but do not appreciate the hassle of the Porto streets. Besides the great coffee, they also have some pretty amazing food. The address is Rua de José Falcão 122 and it’s open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
