Argento Cafe
Just like the rest of our picks, Argento has an amazing location, right in the city center and close by the Maritza river. There’s a surprisingly opulent menu, filled with coffees, craft beers, and freshly squeezed juices. It’s a great place to visit in summer, to soak up the sun and people watch, but there is also an indoor area that’s quite cozy in the winter. Argento is open every day and closes at 10 p.m., making it a cool place to end the day with a beer. Just type ” ул. „Райко Даскалов“ 48 “on google and you should be able to find it.
Да за теб (Yes for You)
This isn’t just a great place to order a cappuccino and do some work on your laptop. It’s actually a pretty sweet lunch spot as well. Actually, you might want to come before, or after lunch, if you want a more calm atmosphere. The interior itself is pretty cool, with exposed brick and some faux trees. The location is also top-notch and you can easily combine a visit to this cafe some exploration of Plovdiv. It’s also just down the street from the other cafe we recommended. The street is called Rayko Daskalov 57A, or ул. „Райко Даскалов“ 57А in Bulgarian.
Satori Magic Cafe
What makes this place unique is the retro atmosphere and the old-town location. It’s a little odd working on a laptop here, as the cobbled street and medieval houses make you feel like your in a different time and place, where a laptop is out of place. However, that does not change the fact that the coffee is good and the view is even better. Try to get a table outside if the weather is good. The address is ул. „Константин Стоилов“ 49, and it’s open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Family Coffee Roasters
This arguably the best coffee in Plovdiv and it’s a great place to work and enjoy a specialty brewed cup of coffee. Locals and foreigners congregate here, enjoying amazing coffee at great prices. The atmosphere is modern and Western, like a coffee shop in the US or Western Europe. The Internet is good and the only point of improvement we have is more power sockets, though there always seem to be enough. You can find The Family Coffee Roasters at ул. „Райко Даскалов“ 55 (yes, 3 of our picks are right next to each other, it’s not a huge city)
