Richest Neighborhoods in Lyon

Lyon is one of France’s largest and most beautiful cities. If you’re looking for something cheaper than Paris, but still awesome, this is an amazing city to visit or buy property in. However, the prices in Lyon have been reading steadily in the last few years, so buying property while there can be expensive. Here we have a lost of the richest areas of Lyon:

7th arrondissement – €4 532m2

The 7th arrondissement is located to the south of the city center, and it’s known as being a quirky and hipster area. There are many university students that hang out and live around here and the brings a vibe of its own. A lot of Lyon’s best cinemas, galleries, and concerts halls are located here, so if you’re a lover of culture, consider moving here. This is the best part of Lyon if you want one of the best districts that the town has to offer, but don’t want to overpay for it. The 7th arrondissement is also well connected to the rest of the city, so you can get anywhere with just public transport.

4th arrondissement – €5 067m2

The 4th arrondissement is another great cultural hot-spot for culture, partying, and food. It’s worth a visit if you’re a tourist just to see the Mur des Canuts and the market on the Boulevard de la Croix Rousse. This is one of the more bohemian neighborhoods of Lyon and if you are younger and want to have a grown-up, but fun, life this is the place for you. It’s not necessarily where students hang out, but there are more than a few great spots to drink some wine and have a great meal. The Parc de la Cerisaie is also located here, so if you have a dog and want to walk it, this is a big advantage.

6th arrondissement – €6 136m2

The 6th arrondissement is a great one, located in the city center of Lyon. A huge part of the district is taken up by the Parc de la Tête d’Or, which is a cool park with a zoo and a lake that is popular with tourists and locals alike. There are also a bunch of museums, restaurants, boutiques, and regular shops in this neighborhood. It’s a great place for anyone, but as you can see from the price tag, not everyone can afford to live in this district of Lyon. It’s a great place to visit and take a walk around, even if you can’t afford to live here.

2nd arrondissement – €6 164m2

The second arrondissement is the city center of Lyon, and as with many other cities, it’s the most wealthy area of town. Here, you will find many of the landmarks, the luxurious shops, the nice restaurants, and many of the fancy hotels. The truth is that there aren’t too many people that choose to live here, as some of the other parts of town are more residential friendly and affordable. However, this is the best neighborhood in Lyon to stay at, if you are in town for just a few days.
