You will find many foreign, corporate and brand name establishments here, which makes it more popular with tourists than the French, who are traditionalists. There aren’t many people that actually live in Carré d’Or, but it is filled to the brim with fancy hotels, so if you are only staying in Nice for a few days, you might want to consider staying here. You will be close to everything in the city and the beach.

Promenade des Anglais

Promenade des Anglais literally refers to the Walkway of the English and it’s a popular beach promenade that extends from the Nice airport to the Quai des États-Unis. While you don’t want to live on the Promenade des Anglais itself, the area behind it is one of the wealthiest and nicest districts in Nice. Here you have a few affluent suburbs where you have nice big houses with pools and great sea views. If you want a suburban lifestyle, this is the perfect area to choose.

Mont Boron

Mont Boron is a hilly, mountainous area known for the Fort du Mont Alban and Parc du Mont Boron. The area is known for the historical fort, but the surroundings are filled with luxurious estates, many of which with pools and stunning views. This is a great area to live in or explore, as there is some great nature, the fort, and the higher altitude, which provides for an amazing view of the sea and Nice itself. The estates here are not affordable at all, but if you want to experience the best that Nice has to offer, you should go to Mont Boron.
