Richest areas in Cannes

Cannes is one of the most popular and desired destinations in Europe, with millions of people visiting every year. The city is best known for hosting the Cannes film festival, one of the most prestigious in the world. On top of that, it’s located on the sunny French Riviera and comes with everything you might expect: beaches, parties, great food, and beautiful people. If you have ever wondered where the richest people in Cannes live, we have a list for you:

La Croix-des-Gardes

To the west of the city center of Cannes, you will find the elite La Croix-des-Gardes neighborhood. It’s located on a green hill, filled with large and expensive houses and some great hiking routes. There are some magnificent, old timely villas in the area that belonged to some of the most famous and wealthy Europeans. That is still the case today. If you want to live in an affluent and exclusive area, filled with huge villas and rich people La Croix-des-Gardes is a great choice.

La Californie

La Californie is located to the east of the Cannes city center and is also an area filled with houses on a hilltop. It is very reminiscent of the Hollywood Hills in Los Angelis, and with the many celebrities that come for the festival, you could easily mistake the two. This is a less residential and quite a touristy area, but still has much of the charming and aristocratic Cannes charm. In the past, the Russian aristocracy and prominent British citizens used to vacation here. The area still remains popular with wealthy tourists, from all around the world.

Croisette

The Promenade de la Croisette is the main boulevard of Cannes, close to the yacht marina and city center. This is the most popular and busy area of the city, with many hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs being located here. It is a loud and hectic area, but well worth seeing, especially for tourists and shoppers. This is an expensive area, but it is still very charming and classy and a nice place to walk around it. There are also many establishments and entertainment options here.
