Mykonos is arguably the most famous Greek island, and it’s certainly one of the most luxurious resorts that the ancient country has to offer. If you want to see the glorious white houses and experience the great, sandy beaches, this will be a great location to visit. Like many people that have visited Mykonos, you might fantasize about moving there and we can help you out with that. Here are the best and richest districts in Mykonos:
Little Venice
This is a really beautiful area, filled with charming white/blue houses, on the edge of the sea. It’s not a huge place, but if you want to take some amazing photos, experience a romantic sunset or just explore the small, cobbled streets, this is an amazing area. It’s located in the westernmost area of the city, and you will undoubtedly visit it. However, this is a very popular area that is often filled to the brim with tourists, which does take away some of the magic.
Old Port
Again, this is a very popular area that you have likely seen online or on postcards. There are many white houses, taverns, and little shops that make exploring this place a charm. It’s located just north of Little Venice, just a few minutes away. Here you will find some of the best hotels, bars, and restaurants that Mykonos has to offer. It’s also a pretty good place to consider for a night out. Again, the only drawback to the Old Port is how popular it is with tourists.
Elia Beach
This beach is located on the southern shore of the island, about 20 minutes away by car. It’s the most luxurious area of the island and most of the high-end hotels are located here. If you want to pop champagne and have fun with rich, good-looking people, this is the place that you want to be. There isn’t much to do or consider in terms of culture, but there is certainly fun to be had here. The beach itself is also one of the best in the country.
