Laptop Friendly Cafes in Venice

You should hurry up and visit Venice before it completely floods underwater. If you find yourself there, you need to understand that it isn’t exactly suited for work and most of the cafes are overrun with tourists. However, there are a couple of good, laptop-friendly cafes in Venice and we have a list for you. Just keep on reading for our top picks, but also don’t forget to enjoy yourself while there.

Caffè Vergnano 1882

If you find yourself around the Ponte de Rialto, and feel like getting some work done, or studying, you should swing by the Vergnano cafe. It has the vibe of your typical Italian cafe, but it is quite modern inside and has nice tables, where you can put your laptop and do some work. It’s mainly an expresso place and they have good coffee, but they have some food options if you feel like that. When the weather allows it, you should sit outside and people watch while doing your work. They are open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and you can find them at Rialto San Polo, 129.

CheBon

CheBon is a cute little cafe that makes good coffee and is about as work-friendly as Venetian cafes get. They have, of course, nice coffee and a bunch of pastries, but on top of that, they also have some places to sit down inside. Again, if it’s sunny you should try and sit outside to enjoy the beautiful architecture. They are open every single day from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., the address is Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, 1787.

BAR 1 CIAK

The interior here is a bit more old-school and traditional, but when in Venice it’s worth checking out. They have a lot of seats but can get pretty busy in the afternoons. There aren’t too many power sockets, so you better come with a fully charged laptop. Just like in most other places, the coffee is pretty good. Their address is Campiello San Tomà, 2807/C and they are open every single day.

Ae Veste Bar

This is a great place for pizza and coffee. You should try and sit next to the window, as you will be eye to eye with the canals and the gondolas passing by. The food is good, but the traditional ambiance is what really makes this place a cool one to work. There aren’t many people on their laptops there, but when it comes to ambiance, it’s worth a visit. The exact address is S. Marco, 2013 and they are open every day, but Monday.
