Laptop Friendly Cafes in Tulum

Tulum is located on the Caribbean coast of Mexico and is one of the most visited places in the country. The weather is amazing, the food is delicious, there are interesting ruins nearby and the beaches are plentiful. In the past few years, Mexico and especially Tulum have become very popular with digital nomads and you might be wondering if you can enjoy an iced coffee while getting some work done, while there. We have good news for you and a list of the best laptop-friendly cafes in Tulum, with WiFi:

Ki’bok Coffee Tulum

If you’re looking for a nice place to sit down and have breakfast, some coffee, and get some work done, Ki’bok Coffee is a great option for that. This cafe is located in the city of Tulum, so some distance from the beach, but if you are staying in town for longer, this location might be more convenient for you. There are often other people working on their laptops here, so you won’t feel out of place and there is WiFi, in case you are wondering. Overall, Ki’bok Coffee is one of the best spots in Tulum itself and is open from 7 am to 5 pm, so definitely a breakfast and lunch place.

Café Don Tomás

Café Don Tomás is another good cafe located in the town of Tulum, a few blocks away from the main road. The cuisine here is more western, so if you’re feeling homesick and for some reason don’t want Mexican food (they do have some though), you might want to check this place out. The coffee is great and the interior is very modern and trendy. The prices aren’t very high and touristy, which is another thing to consider in Tulum and like the other entries on this list, there is free Wifi here. Café Don Tomás is open every day, except for Sunday, from 7 am to 3 pm, so you need to come here early if you actually want to get some work done.

BABEL Cafe

BABEL Cafe is located on the main street of Tulum, so close to everything and is very convenient for pretty much everyone. One thing that sets it apart from the other cafes on our list is the long working time, from 8 am to 10 pm, which makes it easier to work from, for people that like to sleep in. There is food and good coffee here, so everything you really need. The only negative aspect that I can think of is the absence of an air conditioner, but besides that, everything is good.

Matcha Mama

You can’t make a list of cafes in Tulum, without including one on the beach. Matcha Mama is a charming little cafe, very close to the beach. There aren’t too many seating options available, but if you manage to snag one, you can enjoy a delicious smoothy and get some work done. As you can imagine, there is wifi here, but due to the lack of many seats, it might be hard to get work done. There are a lot of swings, which are fun for a while, but you can hardly balance a laptop while sitting on one of those.
